Job Purpose
This position serves as a critical link between design conception and project execution. Utilizing industry-standard 3D modeling software, the Rig Designer & 3D Modeler develops rig designs, ensuring efficient functionality, clear communication, and successful project completion. Responsibilities encompass not only the creation of highly detailed and accurate 3D models of drilling rigs (including topside modules, substructures, equipment placements, and piping systems) but also the design and engineering calculations for the entire rig in accordance with relevant API standards (e.g., API Spec 4F, API Spec 7K, API Spec 8C, API Spec 160). Adhering to industry best practices and engineering principles.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Total Years of Experience (Minimum)
- 6 years of experience
Relevant Experience
- Experience in a similar role ideally within OEM of drilling equipment
- Experience with Industry & Class Standards & Practices including but not limited to API, ASME, ABS, IMO, SOLAS.
- Good knowledge of international industrial standard such as API, MODU, ABS, AISC, ASME and ASTM
