Job Purpose

The Data & Digital Solutions Subject Matter Expert (SME) is a strategic and technical role responsible for driving digital transformation and advanced data integration across operational functions.. This role leads the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge data solutions, including advanced dashboards, automated reporting systems, and robust data pipelines. A key focus is the seamless integration of diverse internal and external data sources, particularly from critical systems like Aramco, into internal platforms. The objective is to significantly enhance decision-making capabilities, improve operational performance visibility, and drive efficiency and innovation across drilling, rig moves, HSE, and other core operational domains. 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Total Years of Experience (Minimum)

8 years of progressive experience in data analytics, data engineering, digital transformation, or IT within the oil & gas, industrial, or heavy asset sector, 

Relevant Experience

• Proven hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes. 

• Demonstrated expertise in integrating diverse data sources, including experience with external enterprise systems (e.g., SAP) and specifically with systems like Aramco, into internal data platforms. 

• Strong command of Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense) for developing interactive dashboards and reports. 

• Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks). 

• Practical experience applying advanced analytics, statistical modeling, or machine learning techniques to solve operational problems.
