Job Purpose / Objective
Handles tubular goods and drill tools using drill floor equipment.
Key Accountabilities 1
- Assist the Driller in operations on the drill floor.
- To operate tongs and other wrenches for making up or breaking out joints of pipe, set and pull slips, rack pipe, throw chain, stab pipe and perform other tasks necessary to drill a well.
- Perform preventive and planned maintenance on drilling equipment.
- Assist in repair of drilling equipment.
- Keep drill floor and tools clean and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned by driller such as mixing mud, assist in slipping and cutting of drill line, preparing casing, rig move, etc.
- Operate air hoist, pipe spinner, or iron roughneck when applicable.
- Forms part of well control team during shut-in procedure.
- Carries out regular housekeeping and painting and routine maintenance of drill floor and drilling equipment.
- Assists in specialized tasks such as rigging up, nipping up, and running casing or to other tasks as directed by the driller.
- Reports any irregularities or safety hazards to supervisor.
- Maintain floor tools, casing tools and various types of subs.
- Works in safe and conscientious manner to ensure personal safety of fellow crew members.
- Will obey all company rules, regulations and procedures in regards to Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Make use of the STOP program by using the STOP cards.
- Relieve DKM on monkey board while making connection.
- Be part of BOP N/U and N/D activity.

Relevant Experience/ Skills – Minimum
- Should have minimum 2 years of experience as a Roustabout on a drilling company.
- Good writing & reading Arabic.
- Should have Basic English communication.
