Job Purpose / Objective

The Supervisor Development Program (SDP) RSTC Trainee position provides a comprehensive learning and development experience within Arabian Drilling (AD), specifically focused on preparing recent graduates for successful careers as Rig Safety and Training Coordinators Through a combination of classroom instruction, mentorship, and on-the-job training, this program equips trainees with the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to excel in promoting safety and environmental compliance at drilling rig locations.

Key Accountabilities

Safety & Environmental Training:
•    Follow the established SDP-RSTC curriculum outlined in the manual.
•    Complete all required training modules and assignments within the designated timeframe for each rotational phase.
•    Participate in a comprehensive safety and environmental training program aligned with regulatory requirements for the completion of the SDP-RSTC Program.
•    Gain a thorough understanding of oil and gas drilling operations, associated hazards, and safe work practices.
•    Learn and apply industry best practices for environmental protection and pollution prevention at drilling sites.

Mentorship & Development:
•    Work closely with safety professionals and rig site supervisors to gain practical insights into safety leadership and implementation.
•    Observe and participate in safety inspections, incident investigations, and hazard identification processes on drilling rigs.
•    Receive ongoing coaching and feedback to develop essential safety leadership skills.


Safety Awareness & Compliance:
•    Assist with the implementation and enforcement of safety procedures, policies, and permit systems at drilling rig locations.
•    Conduct safety briefings and training sessions for rig personnel to promote safe work practices and hazard awareness.
•    Participate in safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential safety risks.
•    Monitor adherence to environmental regulations and implement strategies to minimize the environmental impact of drilling operations.

Documentation & Reporting:
•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, incident reports, and training activities.
•    Prepare reports and presentation on safety performance and identify trends or areas for improvement.
•    Communicate safety concerns and recommendations to relevant personnel and management.
 

Key Accountabilities..

Relevant Experience

•    Prior experience in the oil and gas industry (a plus).
•    Experience with safety regulations and compliance standards (a plus)
