Job Purpose
This position is responsible for the safe and reliable operation of mechanical equipment on the rig. The Rig Mechanic accomplishes this by performing preventative maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing malfunctions, and ensuring all equipment functions optimally to support drilling operations. The Rig Mechanic reports directly to the assigned Chief Mechanics and assists them with all aspects of mechanical equipment on the rig, including maintenance, repairs, and installation.

Total Years of Experience (Minimum)
· 2 years minimum experience in a drilling rig.
Relevant Experience
· Experience performing preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment.
· Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
· Knowledge of mechanical principles and hydraulic systems.
